Plugins - Delete Move Next
Category: Obsolete

(Added to SM 1.2 Core Plugins)
This plugin adds links to the message view for each message. The links include "Previous", "Next", "Delete & Previous", and "Delete & Next", which deletes the current email and displays the next email. Also included is a menu to move the current email to any folder and then display the next email. It helps me keep up with my constantly overflowing inbox.

The newest version of this plugin should always be available from http://ben.brillat.net/files/projects/squirrelmail/

Version 3.0
by Ben Brillat on May 8, 2001
[ This version is not available. You might be able to get it by asking on the "squirrelmail-plugins" mailing list or by contacting the author. ]
Requires: SquirrelMail 1.1.1

Description: After some really big code contributions (a complete "engine" rewrite) from Alan Eldridge, delete_move_next 3.0 is available. It should actually work in any sort order, but it's now very dependent upon the specific SquirrelMail backend.

Description: Now works much better when sorting by other than the standard reverse-chronological. Improved handling of first/last messges in a mailbox. Move function now brings you back to the message list if you were on the last message. Most of the errors (invalid FETCH, etc) should be gone. Thanks to Alan Eldridge for code contributions to make this release.

  • Untarring problems: Your browser might have un-gzipped it for you automatically. Try just "tar xvf" instead of "tar xvfz". Also, the plugins archive isn't gzipped (it is a tarball of .tar.gz files)
  • Macintosh users: Just hold down your mouse button to get the menu instead of right-clicking.
