Plugins - Emoticons
Category: Obsolete

The Emoticons plugin has been integrated into the new "HTML Mail" plugin, which replaced the Enhanced Textarea and Browser Info plugins. If you'd like to help, please email me at squirrelmail at kingnothing dot com

This plugin displays a table of MSN Messenger emoticons above the body of the compose screen and allows the insertion of one or more emoticons into your message.

The plugin utilizes the Enhanced Textarea and Browser Info plugins and only works on Internet Explorer 5.5+. If other browsers such as Netscape, Mozilla, or Opera are used, the emoticons will not be shown.

  • Untarring problems: Your browser might have un-gzipped it for you automatically. Try just "tar xvf" instead of "tar xvfz". Also, the plugins archive isn't gzipped (it is a tarball of .tar.gz files)
  • Macintosh users: Just hold down your mouse button to get the menu instead of right-clicking.
  • If all else fails, seek our help
