Did you ever want to see who your new mail is from and what it is about without having to unhide your main SquirrelMail window? Then this plugin is for you! Mini SquirrelMail gives users a pop-up window from the folder list allowing them to see which folders have new mail, how many messages they have, the subject and sender of those messages and allows them to read the text portion of not-too-complicated emails. All while your main SquirrelMail window is minimized. It allows configuration of the window and text size as well as the refresh frequency from the Options-> Display Preferences page. This plugin works with PHP versions of 4.1 and above, Squirrelmail version 1.2.4 through the current 1.3.2 CVS, Web browsers which support JavaScript and without the need for php's register_globals setting. Description:

This plugin version is designed to be used on SquirrelMail 1.4.1 and newer SquirrelMail 1.4.x versions. Plugin might work with SquirrelMail 1.5.x too, but due to unstable IMAP API use of plugin in SquirrelMail 1.5.x is not recommended.

Some translation features work correctly only in php 4.2+ with gettext support or SquirrelMail 1.5.1.

Changes:

Updated to SquirrelMail 1.4 and 1.5. Removed 1.2 support.
Added license file and assigned copyrights to SquirrelMail Project Team
Renamed mini_functions.php to functions.php.
Added stripped versions of formatBody() and translateText() functions.
Set hardcoded wrapping at 56 instead of 76.
Reduced number of sqimap_login() calls.
Translated plugin strings.

If you have problems with the download or decompressing...

Internet Explorer: Right-click on the file, then select "Save Target As"
Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape: Right-click on the file, then select "Save Link As"
Opera: Right-click on the file, then select "Save Link Document As"
Lynx and Links: Press "d" on the link to download the file directly.

Untarring problems: Your browser might have un-gzipped it for you automatically. Try just "tar xvf" instead of "tar xvfz". Also, the plugins archive isn't gzipped (it is a tarball of .tar.gz files)
Macintosh users: Just hold down your mouse button to get the menu instead of right-clicking.
