Version 1.4.15
Security Upgrade
Plugins - Message Flags & Icons
Category: Message & Folder Manipulation

This plugin/modification provides several visual enhancements for the SquirrelMail interface, such as using small envelope icons to indicate new and read messages, as well as which messages have been replied to, forwarded, etc. The folder list also has a few icons added to it.

Additionally, this plugin adds functionality that allows users to flag their messages (by adding "Flag"/"Unflag" buttons to the message list screen).

PLEASE NOTE that this plugin comes integrated with SquirrelMail as of version 1.5.0, and should not be installed separately therein.

by Robert Jaakke on Jul 9, 2003
[ msg_flags-1.0.2.tar.gz tarball (9230 d/l) Help ]
Requires: SquirrelMail 1.4.1 Stable

Description:
Do not use the included php files for SM 1.4.2!!! Use the diffs to modify the SM 1.4.2 or SM 1.4.0.1 files.
Check the README file for instructions. When applying the diff, Windows users may encounter errors.
Solution: You need to convert to CR-LF format for Windows files.
Cut and paste the text of the problem diff file to a new MS-DOS generic text file, and it will work.
Thnx to Billy Newsom for this info.
  • Updated the plugin for SM 1.4.1 stable.
  • Finally included a diff patch to apply the changes. Thnx Paul ;-)
  • Removed old images dir.
  • Thnx to Evert for sending me the modified the 1.4.2 files. You can get them here. I didn't have time to test them but i think Evert wil be kind enough to give some support if needed.

Version 0.7
by Robert Jaakke on Jun 26, 2002
[ This version is not available. You might be able to get it by asking on the "squirrelmail-plugins" mailing list or by contacting the author. ]
Requires: SquirrelMail Version 1.2.7

Description:
  • I updated the plugin to work with SM 1.2.7.
First off all, my desktop died :-( so i had to work on my server and that delayed my work on Msg_Flags.
    But here it is :-)
  • If you're using SM 1.2.6 there is no reason to upgrade this plugin since it's the same except the code might be a little different.
  • The SM 1.2.7 tarball has the + and - images included in the image dir. This version of the plugin uses them. If they're missing for some reason then copy the + and - img from the Msg_flags dir to the SM image dir.

Version 0.6
by Robert Jaakke on Jun 14, 2002
[ This version is not available. You might be able to get it by asking on the "squirrelmail-plugins" mailing list or by contacting the author. ]
Requires: SquirrelMail Version 1.2.6

Description:
After 1816 downloads someone noticed that the priority images were wrong :-) High prio was shown with a low prio image and low prio with the high prio image. Anyway this is what's fixed in this version. If you are upgrading you can simply copy the mailbox_display.php from the new archive since the rest is still the same.

Version 0.5
by Robert Jaakke on May 8, 2002
[ This version is not available. You might be able to get it by asking on the "squirrelmail-plugins" mailing list or by contacting the author. ]

- Folder collapse wouldn't work after installing msg_flags 0.4, sorry for that, this version fixes it.
- Replaced the + and - in the folder list with images.
- Modified the envelope images. They now have the same width for better vertical alignment.

NOTE: I deleted v0.4 cuz it's the same as v0.5 only v 0.4 had the collapse problem.

by Robert Jaakke on May 7, 2002
[ This version is not available. You might be able to get it by asking on the "squirrelmail-plugins" mailing list or by contacting the author. ]
Requires: SquirrelMail Version 1.2.6

Description:
- Moved the envelope icon to the flags cell instead of the subject line cell.
